What’s the best finish for your house? High Gloss or Flat?
Typically the decision is based on the type of surface you are painting and the location. Gloss finishes tend to show the imperfections on the surface whereas Flat paint hides them.
Also consider the environment. If it’s an interior surface that needs to be washed often, like a bathroom or kitchen, the High Gloss or Semi Gloss is a good choice.
For other interior rooms, Flat or Egg Shell is best.
For exterior surfaces Flat is recommended for the sides, especially for older homes with imperfect surfaces, with Semi Gloss for the trim.
